Activities
Three full-time Activities Coordinators plan regular and special activities for residents in all areas of the Village. Special outings are arranged to community events, such as garden tours and festivals, and for cultural events such as exhibits, concerts and performing arts. Trips to local destinations such as the Aquarium, the Zoo and museums are offered.
An on-site library in the centrally located Circle Lounge houses a collection of both fiction and non-fiction books. Visits by Tulsa County Public Library's Bookmobile allow residents to order books, audio cassettes and videos from anywhere in the library system. The Senior Living Library in the west wing includes books on a wide range of health and aging related topics.
Regular activities include exercise classes, arts and crafts, movies, book reviews, bingo, bridge, game night, musical entertainment by local performers, and speakers on a variety of educational topics. A shuffleboard court and golf practice area are on the premises.
An active Volunteer program offers many volunteer opportunities and encourages residents to be involved.
The Activities Coordinators visit with each new resident to get better acquainted and to invite them to participate. The Activities program is always growing and changing in response to residents' suggestions and personal interests.
Individuals or groups with a program to share are invited to contact our Activities department at (918) 298-3480.
